Magic Photo Recovery is a comprehensive photo recovery optimized application. The tool can recover images from local disks, as well as from removable media, disk images, or from deleted partitions. Moreover, the application offers several options for saving files after restoring them.
Select the recovery source The
first screen in Portable Magic Photo Recovery is for selecting the location you want to analyze for lost or damaged files. Thus, the program can easily scan local disks and removable flash drives, all of which are detected and displayed in the interface. Alternatively, you can recover photos from deleted partitions.
The program can identify lost partitions on the selected disk and supports the analysis of FAT12, FAT16, FAT32 or NTFS file systems. The algorithm can be used to scan the entire disk or only selected sectors.
Alternatively, in the event of a disaster, system damage or a virus attack, you can use a previously created disk image, which still contains the raw files. If this image exists, the program allows you to install it and use it to extract the desired images.
Scan types and file filters
Portable Magic Photo Recovery supports two types of drive evaluation, namely quick scan, a solution for recovering recently deleted files and full analysis. The latter is a powerful option, designed to search for any available information and recover any related files.
For faster operations, you can create file filters and restore only those images that fit the desired size, date (creation/modification/last access) and type. The program recognizes many file formats, including vectors, compressed images, workspaces (.PSD and .PSP), Targa graphics, and RAW types.
Preview and Save Items
Portable Magic Photo Recovery can display thumbnails of files, as their recovery is in progress. It also provides a more detailed preview when the scan is finished and you can select the files you wish to save. Results can be exported to a hard drive, sent to a CD/DVD, embedded in a virtual ISO image or uploaded to a remote location via an FTP connection.
